Everything you need to know about finding work, getting paid, and managing your jobs through the Handier app.
Open the app on your phone. If you've been sent an invite link by email, tap that link first to set up your password.
Use the email address you registered with and the password you created during setup.
Once logged in, you'll land on your Dashboard where you can see your jobs, earnings, and quick stats at a glance.
New to Handier? If you've received an invite email, follow the link in that email to set up your password. If you haven't received one, contact your admin or sign up through the website.
The P2P (Peer-to-Peer) Marketplace is where contractors post jobs for other contractors. Think of it as a noticeboard where you can find extra work or pass on jobs you can't take. This replaces posting jobs on WhatsApp groups.
Tap the P2P tab at the bottom of your screen. This shows all available jobs posted by other contractors.
You'll see job cards showing the title, trade category, location, budget, and who posted it. Use the filter buttons at the top to show Available, My Posts, Accepted, or All jobs.
Tap a trade category (Plumbing, Electrical, Tiling, etc.) to only see jobs in your specialism. There's also a Tool Hire category for equipment lending.
Found something suitable? Tap the job card, review the details, then tap Accept Job. The poster's contact details will be shared with you so you can arrange the work directly.
On the P2P tab, tap the Post a Job button at the top.
Add a title, description, category (e.g. Plumbing, Electrical, Tool Hire), location, and your budget. Be as specific as possible so other contractors know exactly what's needed.
Hit submit and your job goes live immediately. Other contractors can see and accept it straight away.
When someone accepts your job, you'll get a notification. Their contact details will be shared so you can coordinate directly.
Important: Payment for P2P jobs is handled directly between you and the other contractor. Handier does not take any fees on P2P work. Agree on payment terms before starting.
Why use P2P instead of WhatsApp? Everything is in one place, you can filter by trade and location, jobs are tracked properly, and you won't lose opportunities in a busy group chat. No more scrolling through hundreds of messages to find work.
All official communication about jobs, updates, and announcements now comes through the Messages tab in the app. This keeps everything professional, private, and easy to find. You no longer need to check WhatsApp for job notifications.
Tap Messages in the bottom tab bar (Pro members), or tap the mail icon at the top of your Dashboard.
You'll see messages from Handier Admin. These could be new job alerts, important updates, or announcements about the network.
Tap any message to open the full conversation. You'll see the original message at the top, followed by any replies back and forth.
Type your reply in the message box at the bottom and tap send. Your reply is private — only the admin can see it. Other contractors cannot see your replies.
You can keep replying as many times as you need. The admin can respond back to you too. It works just like a normal chat — you'll see your messages on the right and admin replies on the left.
Your messages are between you and the admin only. No other contractor can see them.
It's a real conversation. Ask questions, get answers, follow up — all in one thread.
You'll get a notification when the admin replies, so you never miss a response.
No more searching through WhatsApp. All job-related communication lives here.
Pro Tip: Check your Messages regularly. Job updates, schedule changes, and important announcements all come through here first. The mail icon on your Dashboard shows when you have new messages.
Your Dashboard is the first screen you see when you open the app. It gives you a quick overview of everything that matters.
See how many jobs you currently have in progress.
Quick view of your total earnings, paid and pending amounts.
The bell icon (top right) shows your unread notifications. Tap it to see new job assignments, status updates, and more.
The mail icon (top right, next to the bell) takes you straight to your Messages for quick access.
Pro members get access to company-uploaded jobs (client work arranged by Handier). Here's how to manage them:
Go to the Jobs tab. Jobs marked as "Available" are open for you to accept.
Tap a job card to see full details: location, description, pay rate, tenant contact info, and any attached documents or photos.
Tap Accept Job to confirm. The job moves to your active list.
As you work, update the job status: Started when you begin, Completed when you're done. This keeps everyone informed.
Take photos of completed work or upload invoices directly from the job detail screen. These go straight to the admin for processing.
ID Required: You must have an approved photo ID on file before you can accept any company jobs. Go to your Profile to upload your passport or driving licence if you haven't already.
The Earnings tab gives you a complete view of your money.
See your overall earnings at a glance with a breakdown of paid vs pending amounts.
View pending payments with estimated payout dates (29 days after invoice upload).
Full list of all past payments with dates, job details, and amounts.
Quick stats showing completed jobs count, average rate, and total payouts processed.
Lite Plan users: Your earnings tab shows income from P2P jobs. Keep track of what you're owed and what's been paid.
Keep your profile up to date so jobs can be assigned to you properly.
Make sure your name, trade, email, and contact number are correct.
Upload a clear photo of your passport or driving licence. This is required before you can accept company jobs. You'll see the approval status on your profile: Pending, Approved, or Rejected.
Upload your rate card or price list so the admin knows your standard rates.
ID Approval: After uploading your ID, it usually gets reviewed within 24 hours on working days. You'll receive a notification once it's been approved.
The bell icon in the top-right corner of your Dashboard shows your notification count. Tap it to see all your alerts.
When new company jobs are added that match your trade.
When a job has been specifically assigned to you.
When a job status changes (accepted, started, completed).
When your photo ID has been approved or if there's an issue.
When the admin responds to one of your messages.
When someone accepts a job you posted, or updates on jobs you've taken.
